Before and After Pics

Well, the eDiets.com commercial has been out in select markets, but I have yet to see it yet.  I’ve heard from friends that it ROCKS, so I’ll have to take their word on it.  🙂

BUT…and that is a HUGE but…I just saw some of my photo shoot pictures on the website…www.eDiets.com!  Yay!

Here’s are “Before and After” Pictures:

Check it out!

Photo Journal is complete!

This is so not fair :(

All my friends from past and present are seeing me in the new eDiets commercial, except for me!  Ugh…so frustrating!!!

This is what I’ve learned so far…I may be wearing a kick-ass blue dress, but definitely have 2 shots in a bikini!  Yay!  I can’t believe I made it to the small screen in a bikini…that in itself is such an accomplishment for me.  Just wish I could see it for myself!!!

I’ve looked all over the internet and can’t seem to find it, so I guess they really are just playing it in “select” markets.  So far it’s somewhere in Virginia, Cummings, GA, and Tallahassee, FL.

So I kindly ask of you, dear friends and followers, if any of you should happen to catch it on your DVR or see it online…please, please, please send me a copy!  I worked so hard to get where I am now and really want to see the results from any other place than my bathroom mirror.   I’ve even lost 10 more pounds since the commercial!  I’m sure that my Insanity workout will most likely put some of those pounds back on, but at least they’ll be nice lean & tone pounds.  (Those are the best kind) 😉

Thanks and if I happen to find it first, I’ll definitely post it so y’all can see too! 🙂

Insanity Day 3 – I’m back…

Even if only at 75%…I’m back and I made it through today’s workout:  Cardio Power & Resistance.

To be honest, I was certain I was going to half-ass my way through this one since I’m  still not at 100%, but to my surprise, I actually started off weaker and grew stronger throughout the workout.  By the end, I was like, “let’s keep going”!  Maybe for only a few more minutes, but I definitely had a little more in me to give.

So, I learned today to never underestimate myself, no matter what the circumstances, and that working out at 75% today was a hell of a lot better than 100% of NOT working out.

Feeling so good right now.   Go me! 😉

So sorry for the hang up…

I have spent the last few days in a near-death state.  A little bit of an exaggeration, maybe; however, it really did feel like I was waiting for the reaper.  The night of the ‘day after’ my first full Insanity workout I started getting dizzy, got the chills and had a fever of 104 degrees!  I went to work on Monday, left early, and slept from 4pm – 5am the next morning.  Then went to work on Tuesday and my co-workers made me go home after they saw me sitting in the 90 degree sun, with a sweatshirt on, freezing and shivering, looking as pale as a ghost.  So, I was asleep by 2pm – up at 7pm to say hi and goodnight to my son and down by 8:15pm until 5am this morning.  I think, sometime between 3-5 am this morning my fever must have broken because I’ve actually made it through a full day of work today.  Yay!  I still feel a little out of it, but no fevers, no chills, and no more dizziness.  I finally ate something today too, which probably is helping me get back to normal.  So again, my apologies for the delay in the Insanity updates, but my body really took a hard hit for a few days.  I do wonder if part of it was the intensity of the workout or if it was just a coincidence.  I guess we will have to see.  I’m going to gauge how I feel in the morning and if everything is good – I’m planning on getting back on the wagon tomorrow after work for my next workout.  Keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck!

Breathe in wellness

Studies show that inhaling certain scents can improve the way you feel!

FOR STRESS:  Sniff Lavender Oil for 5 minutes (or a bowl of lavender potpourri).

TO INCREASE ENERGY:  Sniff Citrus to stimulate the trigeminal nerve (the part of the brain that makes you feel more alert).

TO STAVE OFF A HEADACHE:  Sniff Green Apple – migraine sufferers who inhaled this scent at the first sign of symptoms felt relief 10 minutes later!
