Holiday treats and workouts

It’s impossible to say no to ALL holiday treats and you shouldn’t have to!  So, if you do decide to indulge … here are some workouts (based on an 180lb person) – to help burn off those calories.   Happy Holidays!  (and remember – breaking even can be a good thing) 😉

Chocolate fudge (3 ounces, a 2-inch cube) – 370 calories

Activity: Walk briskly for an hour.

Peanut brittle (1.5 ounces) – 207 calories

Activity: Run for 15 minutes at 6 miles/hour.

Iced sugar cookies (Three medium one-ounce cookies with icing) – 530 calories

Activity: Ice skate for 56 minutes.

Gingerbread men (Two medium) – 330 calories

Activity: Walk for an hour singing Christmas carols.  🙂

Eggnog (One cup) – 224 calories

Activity: Do household chores for 47 minutes.

Hot chocolate (One cup made with 2% milk) – 210 calories

Activity: Do yoga for 44 minutes.

    lol It reminds me of the calorie goal I have picked on the Wii fit plus: a bowl of rice 255 calories…

    Looks like I will be running for 15 minutes! Oh but the peanut brittle was worth it!
