New Motivation

Ok, so I have new motivation and a new goal date to get as fit as I can possibly get because….drum roll please…I’m FINALLY going on my honeymoon!  Woo-hoo!  Aaron & I were married Sept 4th, but being 7 months pregnant…no honeymoon was going to be as fun as it could be…so we decided to wait.  But now, we just booked our honeymoon for mid-July in Mexico!  I am so going to rock a bikini and come back with pictures to prove it.  :)

So, here’s to getting back on track and looking the best I can for my honeymoon.  I owe myself that at least since I was 7 months pregnant when I got hitched.  :)

Plateau city

So, it’s been awhile since I wrote….and I’m sure you can probably guess why.  Yes, vacation killed my diet AND my momentum!!  :(

The only upside is that I start work again on Monday and hopefully the ‘work week schedule’ will help aid me in getting back into a routine.   I’ve got 20-30 minutes a day to work out, so if anyone has any suggestions on workouts to help me break free from this plateau, I’d be forever grateful!

My food mentality unveiled

Well, I made it back from my family reunion with a slight tan to help hide the 5 lbs I gained back while there!  It didn’t dawn on me until I got back home that I have this ‘all or nothing’ mentality when it comes to food.  If I cheat a little, then it’s easier for me to convince myself that the day is ruined and that I’ll start re-dieting tomorrow.  Sadly, that is probably true for most of us…excuses justify our actions.   Fortunately (or unfortunately – I haven’t decided yet) I came home and became incredibly ill, so my weight is returning to pre-vacation numbers.  It’s not really the way I wanted to lose it, but I’m not really complaining either.  ;)  I feel like even though I gained back some weight…I really learned how my brain works when it comes to food….and that, my friends, is the first step towards controlling my battle with food!

This morning I dropped off my precious little boy for his first day in daycare and my goal was to get a good workout in before I picked him up.  That; however, will not be happening since my body feels like it’s been hit by a Mack truck!  :(  The good news is, I searched my On Demand feature on U-Verse and found a TON of free workout videos.  (thanks for the suggestion Marieke!) Hopefully I’ll be feeling better by tomorrow to try some of these out.  They look amazing!  From belly dancing to yoga to full-body workouts – I can really see my body taking great strides as soon as I can get better and get moving! I’ll keep you updated!
